this never fails to stir within me a thrill of unnamed emotion. this scene, her voice, her presence... this character is so timeless, beautiful, both innocent and wise. audrey's casual elegance, sense of adventure, constant kindness, and unwavering grace in the face of strife has made her my icon beyond the realm of style.
this is my favorite movie scene in all of film. freshmen year, when i was sad all of the time, i taught myself this song on the ukulele and it made everything better.
