joseph strid at stockholm fashion week. i love the controlled shapelessness of the structure and the fact that the color combination reminds me exactly of a california sunset.

some photos i took of my friend shelby the day we went to the river. we were goofing around with props and facepaint and rocks under an umbrella of an idea, the inspiration for which was "feral child" or something mad max-y like that, but she pointed out that everything i was asking her to do reminded her of the greek goddess artemis. honestly, she is so quirky and her expressions are so honest and vivid, it's darn near impossible for me not to take pictures of her.

two pieces of jewelry i've been rotating on the regular. both pieces have a great weight and boldness about them. and since i am a huge fan of mixing metals, the necklace often gets paired with gold nail polish and the earrings with silver rings.

i'm loving this spacy theme that's been popping up lately. if you're like me and have spent more than a few nights stargazing under the summer sky, how fun would it be to incorporate that into one's wardrobe? seems like a winning combo of chic and quirky to me.

right now i'm enjoying the last day of what has been an amazing and rejuvenating summer vaca at my parents' house in my hometown. i saw one of my oldest friends walk down the isle, enjoyed my brother's closing night as romeo in romeo and juliet in an amphitheater under a truly stunning array of stars (where i really wished i had alexa chung's amazing dress in the first photo), and spent a gorgeous afternoon at one of the most beautiful river spots i've ever been to. not to mention i've spent a much needed few days catching up with the fam. photos to come!
